VALVE

Valve is a fashion shop that revolves around selling second-hand clothes to married couples while still offering high-quality clothes.

THE BRIEF

This mock project was created to practice visual identity design using an AI-generated brief. The brand needed to convey two key values: faithfulness and freshness. The goal was to create a bold, black lettermark that captures these elements. The challenge was to build a high-quality visual identity that feels both fresh and impactful while ensuring the lettermark stands out as a strong representation of the brand.

BRAINSTORMING DESIGNS

In this phase, I toss judgment aside and let my imagination run wild, embracing every idea, even the ones that initially feel a bit off. This playful approach keeps the creativity flowing! I zoomed in on the letters 'VA,' but I found myself juggling the balance between quality, fashion, and freshness within the black lettermark constraints. Check out some of the ideas I explored along the way!

The final result

THE DECISIONS MADE

My response to the brief involved drawing inspiration from existing market designs and infusing them with a fresh perspective. I selected a serif font for the lettermark and brand, opting for strong lines while softening them slightly to convey approachability. To add a charming touch, I incorporated playful details like a bowtie and necklace, enhancing the visual identity.

For the color scheme, I chose pastel shades of blue and beige to counterbalance the starkness of black, creating a warmer and more inviting environment. Additionally, I used a mid-ocean blue for call-to-action elements, buttons, and textures, bringing the design to life and enhancing user engagement.
